3-Day Urban Gardening Experience
Grow, Learn, and Have Fun!
Led by Kanna Bucrh
This Thanksgiving break, give your child the chance to dig in, get their hands dirty, and experience the joy of growing food from the ground up! Our 3-Day Urban Gardening Experience is designed for kids ages 7–12 to explore gardening, sustainability, and creativity in a hands-on, small-group environment.
Each day, participants will learn essential garden and farm skills, connect with nature, and discover how food grows—all while building teamwork, creativity, and confidence. The program wraps up with a Kids’ Farm Stand on the final day, where students share their harvest and creations with friends and family.

✔️ Water Bottle (labeled)
✔️ Packed Lunch
✔️ Garden Gloves
✔️ Closed-Toe Shoes & Comfortable Clothing
✔️ Optional: Hat & Sunscreen
Healthy light snacks and all necessary gardening tools will be provided.
Children are welcome to bring their own tools if they wish, but please label them with their names. We cannot be held responsible for any items that may be lost or damaged during activities.

8:45 | Morning Garden Chores | Rotating jobs: watering, weeding, composting, harvesting, and chicken care. |
9:30 | Garden Learning Workshop | Daily theme lesson (hands-on): Day 1: Soil, Compost, Planting Day 2: Pollinators, Bugs, Harvesting Day 3: Garden to Market |
10:15 | Snack Break | Fresh fruit/veggies from the garden or provided snack. |
10:30 | Garden-to-Table Cooking | Kids prepare a snack (e.g., salsa, smoothies, wraps, salad, flatbread with garden toppings). |
11:15 | Creative Garden Project | Examples: planter painting, seed bombs, veggie stamp art, bee feeders, nature print. |
12:00 | Lunch | Enjoy what they cooked + home-packed lunch. |
12:30 | Free Exploration & Journaling | Nature journaling, garden reading nook, tending to personal plant projects. |
1:00 | Garden Game | Scavenger hunt, plant relay, pollinator tag, harvest race. |
1:40 | Second Garden Session | Extra gardening, harvesting for take-home, or preparing produce for the Kids’ Farm Stand. |
2:10–2:30 | Closing Circle | Share highlights, gratitude, what they learned, and preview tomorrow’s theme. |

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the first day are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date are non-refundable.

Liability Release: By registering, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept that TK Urban Garden is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal property during the program. A signed liability release waiver will be required at the first session.
